My 2007 dodge ram 3500 4X4 want crank.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2007 dodge ram 3500 4X4 want crank. It's got
a 6.7 diesel in it. It's been setting up for over a
year. I've replaced both batteries, ignition switch,
and used a test light on fuses and relays. It clicks
under the hood but it's not the starter. It's a relay
box on the fire wall. I've even had the key checked
and reprogrammed. It's a 6 speed standard
transmission . What else can I do or check for ?

This is whats happening....there is a switch on the clutch that keeps your engine from cranking unless you have the clutch pushed in. I call it the lawn mower seat switch!!! It has two little wires in a gray sleve that run up to right behind the steering wheel where it connects to a very large plug with lots of wires coming out of it. You have to remove those plastic cowls on the steering wheel shaft to get to the wires to jiggle them and I need to find a Dodge mechanic to show me how to unplug this plug so I can repair it....later Bill
