Block replacement on 2015 Subaru Forester

I have a 2015 Forester with a manual transmission.  The oil light comes on
approx every 2000 miles and now Subaru is replacing the engine block.   I
am wondering if I should sell the car once this work is finished.  Will the car
be more reliable with the new engine block or will I constantly have
problems?  Anyone here have experience with this?   BTW I bought the car 2
years ago and purchased the extended warranty so this work is not costing
me anything.  The car has 64,000 miles on it now and had 52,000 on it when
I purchased it. I have had the oil light problem the entire 2 years.  Subaru put
a monitor in the car for 2k miles and after the oil light came back on they
analyzed the monitor and decided to replace the block.

You may or may not solve the issue. I had two new engines in my 15 Forester before the problem was Reduced (not solved) it now uses at least 2 quarts in 5,000 miles, maybe a little more.

Thank you very much for your answer. When my oil light comes on the car has not used any oil. The first couple of times the Subaru shop changed the oil and turned the light off. then about 2k miles later the light comes back on. I have a decent appraisal offer from the dealership and this is the first Subaru that I have ever owned. Was thinking about trading up to an Infiniti or Acura SUV anyway so now may be the time. I have never encountered a problem like this with other cars that I have owned so I was kinda stumped about what to do with the car. THANKS again for taking the time to answer.

If it does not use oil the problem is probably just the oil level sensor. Why the worries?
