Dropped oil filler cap in area under the hood and can’t find it

Asked by GuruVJ52G Sep 22, 2018 at 04:18 PM about the 2015 Mazda MAZDA6 i Grand Touring

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I dropped the oil filler cap while adding oil, heard it clang around but it didn’t
make it to the ground. Once I put new oil filler cap on is it safe to drive with
the other cap lying around somewhere near the engine

1 Answer

I doubt the old cap will cause any problem. It will probably fall out when you hit a bump in the road.
