Personal opinion Samantha.... to begin with go somewhere else and stay away from that Chrysler 200. Check out Toyota, Ford, Honda, even Nissan. For $23,000+ you can do better, only a 3 year/.36,000 mile warranty for one thing. I am all in favor of buying American. Just not this one. But if you have your heart and mind set on it, buy the extended warranty. Usually I advise against that. Now, you asked about insurance....buy a LOT...not because of my personal opinion of this car but I am a firm believer in insurance....when you buy a liability policy of $50,000 it is only a few bucks more to increase your coverage to $300,000. That's liability if you do something out of character and slam in to something. As far as collision coverage, also recommend as much as your insurance company offers. Like one of those that say they "guarantee to buy you a new car" if yours is totaled for any reason. I don't know if there is a 'catch' to that or not, but go with one of the big companies...State farm....Farmers....Hartford....they are solvent and will be there. Avoid Allstate, you're not in such 'good hands'...Geico (Government Employees Insurance Company) is their roots...any that feel the need to advertise on TV all day and night have to for just that..attract new, unfamiliar customers.
