dash assesorie light and lights on steering wheel for criuse not working

At night when I turn my headlamps on my lights to illuminate my steering wheel and all the controls for the climate and radio controls no longer light up. brought to 1 dealer they said it NEVER LIT up, I must have been wrong they said. Brought to another dealer, they told me they are supposed to work. which is it

Mine do light up on my 2014 Frontier truck.

Check the display brightness control and the dash just left of the steering wheel on the dash, it is a wheel control. When I cleaned my dash I accidentally turned mine down once.

U have to twist your trip reset button to turn your dashlights on
