2002 ranger v6 engine

Asked by Scott Mar 29, 2018 at 02:49 PM about the 2002 Ford Ranger 2 Dr Edge Extended Cab SB

Question type: General

I have a 2002 ford ranger with a v6 3.0. I need a new
motor but can’t find one because they only used the
motor for 2001 1/2 and 2002. I was told I can use the
older v6 ranger motor in it . It has a different intake. Would
everything bolt up the same if I bought the older v6 and I
take?

Use an engine that will work with your computer and is smog legal for your trucks year. "Older" is to vague to give you anything more definite.
