check for fuel? spark? security system?

that is usually a sign of a fuel delivery problem. Either no or low fuel and engine is starving for fuel. Check fuel filter and fuel relay. If those don't fix your pump is probably dead or weak and need a new one. Check the cheap easy stuff first like fuel filter and relay then pump.
