I am considering the purchase of a 2014 honda crosstour ex-l v6 awd with
97,000 miles.  The car is one owner well maintained accident free per carfax
and offered by a honda dealer for 14,500.  Is this too mny miles to consider?

Most vehicles last 200K with good maintenance. Honda's are good vehicles long term. Keep in mind once over 100K, suspension, and other engine parts might need replacing. So if you don't mind taking the car in for repair once in awhile and your comfortable with the mileage, go for it. A used car vs New, you will be on the plus side. Negotiate the price down from the asking price.
