Sounds like your vehicle is in need of some maintenance. Did you take it to a mechanic for repair? I'd search online for any issues and or complaints for your model year CRV to see if there is a common theme. Every vehicle has it's own issues and just knowing about them will help you maintain your vehicle correctly so you don't run into trouble down the road. Sometimes owners will give you suggestions on affordable fixes.

I had an accident with sudden acceleration while trying to park my 2014 Honda CRV. It sacred the heck out of me. After I hit the brake and parked, I noticed my Drive shift position had shifted to the Neutral shift position. Not my doing of course.
