2014 Nissan Altima stalling/engine problems

Asked by JohnPaul Mar 18, 2018 at 03:41 PM about the 2014 Nissan Altima 2.5 SV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I’ve had my Altima for almost a year and recently
started to stall in low gears. The car will eventually
slip back into gear and I can drive, but for around 3
or so seconds I have no control. In general the car
will have problems with changing gears and it
started in the winter when I would notice that I
could feel the car switch gears when slowing down.
It has now gotten to a point where I can hardly drive
it. What are my options?

All help appreciated.

It's pronounced altimate driving machine. Sounds like it's an automatic I'm guessing, not a lot of info there. Probably needs a new transmission or a bottle of Lucas poured in it.
