Welcome to Justanswer, my name is Dan and I'm
here to help get your problem resolved. Since this
can take up to a week to even show a problem it
might be hard to trace down. The most common
causes of battery drains on these vehicles is the
radio and body control module. For a week you can
remove the 15 amp radio fuse under the hood
every time you shut off vehicle and if battery
doesn't drain the radio needs to be replaced. If the
battery still drains then do the same thing with the
TBC Batt fuse under hood, 15 amp TBC2A fuse on
interior fusebox, TBC2B, and TBC2C fuses. These
fuses send power to the body control module so if
removing those fuses stops drain the body control
module needs to be replaced. If none of those
work you will need to try and remove each fuse one
by one when shutting off vehicle for a week to see
which one stops the drain. Once you find out which
fuse is causing drain you can reply to this answer
at any time without any additional fees and I can
let you know what is controlled by that fuse. Let
me know if you have questions or if there is
anything else I can do to help. Thanks.

Dan, GMC Mechanic

Hi I recently had my brakes done..(I just bought
this truck used two months ago..for a winter car.)I
get it back and the brakes are pulsating
How many miles are on the car? Are these the
orignial brakes?
You
So it is the abs module,( which the mechanic said
wasn't  caused by them doing the brakes)so
idisconnect the fuse for the time being because I
can't drive it with the brakes this bad,a month
before the brakes I got a new battery...so last week
the battery is dead..I charge it and take it back to
the place I got the battery from .

What is the model/year of your GMC?
You
He says must have been a bad battery...so he put a
new one in...now today I go to start the truck and
battery is dead again..this is a 2004 yukon
Are you fixing your Yukon yourself? What have you
tried so far?
You
It was a new mechanic / a person who worked at a
dealership for 25 years opened a shop/I went to
school with him too
You
Before him I always wen to to the same
mechanic..but I said might as well give them a try
as my regular mechanic was in Portugal

Hey Dan, Seems to be the radio. Just replace with aftermarket and that should do it, right?
