how many roof braces and how far apart are they

I want to install a fantastic 3 speed fan in roof , it requires a14x14 cutout in the roof .I  want to locate the fan near the rear hatch behind the rear dome light and would prefer not to cut through any roof braces .

do you have a one-piece headliner? I would guess so- to do the job properly, so it won't leak, you should take the headliner out, anyway- are you just planning on starting to cut straight thru the headliner and insulation and everything? and this is a brand new van? woah-
