2014 RAM EVAP Sensor Issue

Asked by Michael Jun 09, 2020 at 04:59 PM about the 2014 RAM 1500 SLT Quad Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2014 Ram 1500 with 5.7 Hemi V8. Bought
the truck a short while ago and had an engine light
after a couple days. Took back to dealership and
code read the EVAP sensor needed to be replaced.
Dealership replaced the sensor free of charge.

After a couple days it came back indicating low
input. Sensor is new, so I assume that must be
ruled out but it’s still throwing the code. Code will
come and go though. One day engine light is on,
day or two later it goes away.

Any idea?

I’ve also noticed that when the engine light kicks on
the ECO mode doesn’t turn on.
