I purchased a 2014 528i from there and wanted to
know what gas to use premium or regular from what
I gathered I believe it is premium

Pretty sure it is premium. Refer to the owner's manual to be sure.

You better use premium. If you go for cheap then you might want to have at least 5k in your pocket.
