First time possible owner Don't know a thing about this flex Fuel shold I used only E85 or premium unleaded

Looking at E350 2014 with flex fuel never heard of this. I understand what it means but worry about more maintenance for using lesser than premium gas. Give me your experience or suggestion?

E-85 just means it will run on an 15% Ethanol mixture. It IS NOT a requirement. Your car will run just fine on any good quality Mid-Grade gasoline. Some states have only "up to" 10% Ethanol. To bad you can not find Ethanol free gas in many areas. Your car will love it - but it is usually very overpriced. Even high performance engines such as in the 550's will run fine on good quality Mid-Grade. Try to stick with Tier 1 gs whenever possible.
I have used E85 only in my 2014 E350 for the past two and a half years and had no problems whatsoever. Car runs great seems to have more power. E85 has higher octane rating than 92 or 93. Nothing but regular maintenance. I even contacted Mercedes-Benz USA and there are no issues running a car designed for E85 on flex fuel. As a matter of fact it burns cleaner! Costs between 10 and 11 cents per mile. I already did the calculations and it comes out ahead of Premium 92 or 93 octane even though the mileage is better!
E-85 means 85% Ethanol and 15% gasoline. My last three Merced’s c300 were all E85 ready.
