4 wheel drive switch

on startup the lights on my 4 wheel drive switch cycle and a wrench with the 4
wheels and chasis shows up on dash   what would cause this   the knob is
missing from my 4 wheel drive switch

There's a ton of things that can cause this, bad switch, actuator, TCCM and so on. I'd get a buddy with a Tech II or equal to find out what the cause is. Instead of guessing, have it properly diagnosed.
