Versa Note tranny swap

Asked by txchamps May 30, 2015 at 04:25 PM about the 2014 Nissan Versa Note S

Question type: Car Customization

Has anybody ever looked into swapping the 5-speed manual on a 2014 Nissan Versa  for
the older 6-speed from the original generation?  Just seems to me that the 2014 really
needs a 6th gear.

I think it's safe to say that you haven't looked into the tranny swap, so your answer is not helpful. I don't WANT a CVT. CVT is crap. I want a manual. I like to manage my own power band selection, thank you very much. The gearing of the 5 speed, as it is, has the engine spinning at 3200 RPM at 70 MPH. A 6th gear would definitely be a plus here.
