Clutch pedal drops to floor, and slave cylinder doesn't move.

Asked by ArloTheGuy Nov 15, 2020 at 03:27 PM about the 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've recently changed out the clutch and flywheel on my 2004 Subaru WRX, we
put the transaxle all back together and now the clutch pedal just drops down to
the floor and the salve cylinder doesn't seem to have pressure, and it doesn't
move or fill with fluid when I pull the pedal up.

Another possibility....did you remember to bleed the clutch? (Just like bleeding the brakes)

Pretty common for the slave to need replacement. But sometimes you can rebuild it with a through cleaning with fine sandpaper and a new seal. Easy stuff....
