Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am planning to buy BMW 3 Series X-drive 2013 and approx cost around
19k-20k. I have following queries before sealing this deal -
1. This is going to be my first car in the USA as I moved here 1 year ago
only, Is it advisable to buy it now or should I go with some low budget car?
2. What about average annual maintenance cost (in terms of oil change and
other regular) of the car and comparison to other cars?
3. Approx. comparison to other cars, for repair and parts change, in case

Any similar suggestions are most welcome, considering my priority as AWD,
Sunroof, Reverse Camera etc.

1. only you know what you want and can afford. 2. the maintenance costs will be higher due to being a luxury car, as part prices are higher. 3. drive other vehicles to see what you like. Owning a luxury vehicle, like BMW, Audi, Mercedes Benz, Volvo, etc will cost you more in the long run vs a regular vehicle like a Ford or other asian brand.

You may want to check the reviews of the XDrive before you go out and buy one. And I'll just leave it at that.

Higher cost do not equate to better reliability. Toyota, Honda Thumbs Up!

I would continue looking. If you are wanting reliability, there are 71 better choices. Cost of ownership is also very high as tennis and Tom said.

Check out the website for owner's reviews of the car, problem areas, and recalls. Get a vehicle history report, such as Carfax, on the specific car you're interested in. Multiple owners, accidents, and repeated service visits for the same problem are all red flags. HTH. -Jim
