Replacing radio

Asked by Davem121 Jan 07, 2018 at 06:00 AM about the 2003 Ford Taurus SES

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I forgot to disconnect the
battery when replacing the radio
in my 2003 Ford Taurus SES and
it blew a fuse and won't start. I
replaced the fuse but the car
won't even start. All the lights
came back on, power licks work
again and the key phob works
but all there is is a clicking
under the dash when u turn the
key and not a dead battery
clicking. What do I need to look
at or fix??

sounds like a bad relay , you should have been able to replace a radio with the ignition off , is it wired correctly ? the days of red hot black ground are over the computer runs everything , see a pro car stereo shop for advice
