1989 ford f150 5.0 dying

Asked by Joshua Jul 29, 2018 at 06:36 PM about the 1989 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat Standard Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1989 will die when I come to a stop when the temperature outside is hot but the gauge is normal. Before it dies it feels like its getting no fuel then dies. When trying to restart it sounds like a bad battery and will not start. If I let it sit for 45 minutes it will start right up. I replaced the ignition coil and ignition control module and still have the issue. Any ideas?
