My 87 f150 won/t turn over

4.9 straight 6 manual
new batt, coil, sparks, wires, cables good.
I know I need a new solenoid because I have to cross it over with a screw
driver.
Engine will turn but will not start.
Spark at coil, plugs, but when she tries to start she only turns and coughs.
Truck reportedly sat for about a year, added fresh gas.
PLEASE HELP! I realy want to bring this truck back to life.

Try spraying a small amount of starting fluid into the the engine should run momentarily If NOT check ignition system again. 4.9 / 300 6 cylinder one of Fords best designs. Lots of Torque, good economy , known to LAST along time.

Have you checked the distributor/timing is so equipped. If no start with starting fluid, could be the problem.
