Have changed the fuel pump thought it was the problem & now i found the relay is over heating &would like to know what could cause this problem

2001 Dodge ram 2500 5.9 fuel the relay is getting hot & will need to find out where to look for the problem

Sounds like you have a wire pinched and it's grounding out. I had the same problem on my Chevy. Blinker can was getting hot and blowing out all the time. Rear blinker wire had gotten pinched in between box and the frame. Was grounding out and blowing fuses and frying the blinker relay.
