FOB for 2011 KIA Forte

Asked by Guru9V62HX Apr 25, 2021 at 11:03 PM about the 2014 Kia Forte EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My KIA's FOB was working fine this morning. I decided to test an older FOB
that is dead and possibly is programmed different from my good FOB.  I put
the dead FOB into the slot in the console to test it. It wouldn't do anything. I
gave up and went to get my good FOB. now it won't do anything. Could I
have deprogrammed my FOB and ignition system by using that old dead
FOB in the slot in the console??   I may have put the dead FOB upside down
or turned around backwards and I had a real hard time pulling it back out of
the slot. I had to pull it out with a pliers.   Craig Ewinger
