This 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD Ltd has a tailgate lift problem (No
reaction). The manual indicates that the fuse is F39, however this is a spare
position in this vehicle. So where could they possibly have fed it from? No
changes has been made by anybody outside the factory.

Sorry, I read the fuse lay-out incorrectly! F39 is in place but the tailgate will not operate, whether from the remote or from the inside button next to the top reading lights. Looks like I will have to try and "unlatch" it from the inside after removing the inside cover.
