My car has a ticking noise coming from the
engine? Would anyone know what that
sound would be?

Not much info to go on here. It could be low on oil or the oil may need to be changed. Sometimes ticking can be caused by the rocker arms. Does it tick at idle? only when the engine is cold, or all the time?

I have the same problem with My Jeep Grand Cherokee 2014. I was told at the garage that I need to change the rocker arm (5184296AH) - 24 pieces, Adjuster(5184332AA) -24 pieces and cam shaft exhaust (5184377AF) -left side. I am told that they have to open the engine in order to replace those parts. What are the risks of affecting the performance of the engine once they open it for repair on a scale of 1 - 10? or it is safe? Kindly email me on jean.patrickh@gmail.com

I have a 2015 Grand Cherokee that is ticking all the time, I was told that it's a Jeep thing ? It's so annoying. Its especially audible when next to another car in traffic or in a parking space.

I posted my comments a year ago, regarding a ticking issue with my Jeep Grand Cherikee 2014. You are completely right, at the garage they told me that engine ticking is a Jeep thing! I bought new parts (as listed in my previous parts) and the problem was resolved! It was also affecting the performance of the engine, I could feel that the car was not as powerful as it used to be. But now everything is back to normal. My 2nd question - The Grand Cherokee doesn't seem to be very confortabke especially when driving on road with no tarmac and/or potholes...Is there anything I could do to make it more comfortable? I changed the shock absorbers but nothing much changed! Any suggestion of what I may change around the suspension or shock absorbers?? I really love my Jeep and intend to buy a new 2020 model soon despite of that issue!
