the rims from a ranger or jeep will fit a dakota but the rims from a dakota wont fit the ranger the center hole for the hub is bigger for a ranger.

a belated thank you! would you recomend using the ranger wheel with larger hub? is there some sort of spacer required?

no spacers are needed they bolt right on. there will just a little more space around the center of the hubs nothing to worry about.
