2013 Camry, new battery won't start

2013 Toyota Camry wouldn't start it just clicked.
Changed the battery it ran fine for a week and then
wouldn't start. Turn the key it just made a clicking
noise. Jumped the car it started. Let it run for 15
minutes and it ran fine. Disconnected the negative
cable and the car still ran fine and lights didn't dim.
Drove the car an hour to work ran fine. Got off work
and started the car and it had trouble starting but
started up ran fine for the hour drive home. Turned
the car off. Waited 45 minutes and went back out
to start the car and it attempted to turn and then
started making a clicking noise. Turned the key
again and it just made a clicking noise and didn't
try to turn over. The battery is a week old. Since I
disconnected the negative battery cable and the
car never shut off I'm guessing it is a starter
problem but not sure.

I would never disconnect the battery cable from a running engine that has an alternator. Check the battery cables for any sign of corrosion. Also check the starter cable connection. These all need to be clean and tight. If you have access to a DC volt meter, check the voltage at the battery with the engine running. It should be 13.5 to 14.6 volts. If the voltage is lower than that I would suspect the alternator or alternator to battery wiring.

No it is not the greatest method but the only option I had at the time. Update: Checked the battery cables, no corrosion. Cleaned the terminals but they were not bad at all. Checked the battery it's good. Alternator is good. Starter is good.

Update: Car still intermittently starts but after two failed attempts I pressed gas and started.

Kyle, the next time it just clicks, try this: Have someone turn the key to the start position and have them hold it there. As they hold the key, rap on the starter with a hammer. If the engine suddenly turns over, then it's your starter.
