My 1988 Mark Vll 6-way passenger power seat recliner goes back but does not return forward. How do I manually, at the connector level get it to return forward? What is the polarity of the wires?

All the switch does is reverse polarity to make the motor run one way for back and the other way for forward both wires have no polarity when the switch is in the open or off position. So if you wanted to hot wire the motor you would have to unplug it, and put positive power to one side and negative to the other, if it didn't go the direction you wanted then reverse the connections.
Thank you for your quick and helpful answer.
Hope you can get to that motor easily, some of those Lincoln seat motors can be a bear to get too unless you take loose the whole track system.
