My over light overdrive light is on to my 2003 Ford Focus hatchback and it doesn't turn off and it doesn't. Change into last gear

and the overdrive light is on and it
won't change into the last gear when
I'm driving

Theres a button on the shift gear handle when you put it on drive, revers etc. You might have pushed it on accident this happenes to my wife all the time. On my Ford Focus it’s underneath the bigger button I use to switch gears it’s a really small button. Hope this helps
