I am looking at a cadillac from craigs list and I was wandering how reliable this car is and also would it be a good first car?

Asked by Parker Dec 25, 2012 at 11:59 PM about the 1988 Cadillac Brougham RWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

It is a 1988 cadillac brougham with 95,000 miles. He says its
one owner owned, but he sounds like the second owner. It
has been sitting in a garage for 12 years, They got all the
paper work since new. It has no rust and it runs good and
shifts good is what he says. The reason he is selling is
because he has too many cars. He has it priced at 2800 is
that too good to be true. On the outside the car looks brand
new. He said the interior is mint but I haven't seen it. Would
this be a good deal or a money pitt what should I do any
tips I should look for if I went to look at it?

only way to tell is take it to a cadillac dealer spend the 100-150.00 for an inspection.that way you know exactly what your getting, $2800.00 sounds to good to be true,if it checks out, your ahead of the game, even at $3000.00with the inspection.you can not find a good used car under $5000.00 good luck
