pretty much forget the computer chips on obd1 vehicles. the car is old, so it could be struggling with oil viscosity until it warms up. It wouldn' t hurt to clean air intakes. when was the last time it was tuned up.? also, do the paper clip method to check the computer for codes. there are several good youtube vids on this.
