How much would an average be cost to rebuild a
Buick 3.8l v6 engine

the original block should be quite good.. just a timing chain and heads depending on how much mileage was put on it. 1200 for it... rebuilt block is 6000 or more. the rebuilt might be older than the original block(imo/experience).

If it is a high mileage car, I would look for a low mileage used engine. A Reatta owner had a problem at this years National meet and he ran the numbers, and found a 53K engine for $200.
