2003 focus, 130k miles, electrical light comes on intermittently. Don't notice any change in the engine, seems normal. Goes off after turning off and on. Sometimes gauges will drop to nothing then shoot back to max out. Radio stays on fine during this event and don't notice any change at all in engine. No one has been able to give me a satisfactory answer - "alternator maybe overcharging, it's a ford thing". Anyone know about this?Thanks

First off I would get a voltage meter and check out your battery voltage should be at least 12.4 volts. Also, with the car running put it on the battery should read at least 13.5 volts and no more than 15 Volts
