1992 Dodge Dakota 4x4 LE 5.2L stalling issues

"I have a 1992 Dodge Dakota 4x4 LE 5.2L. I bought this truck super cheap about a month an a half ago. It seemed to run good( only has 180,000km ) up until last week, when it stalled while I was driving. It re started after about 5 minutes. 2 days later it stalled again in a Mcdonalds drive through. This time I tried about 6 hrs later and it started. It ran for another couple days and then stalled in my driveway and I havent been able to get it started since. The gas gauge does not work, and the e-brake light stays on. Any advice on cheap parts to look at to solve my problem.

If I put my ear to the tank and I can hear the pump turn on for a second and then shut off does that mean its working ?

Not really,its cutting on but has to pump 32 psi or better to run your injectors.Pumps will come and go a lot,sometimes run fine,next thing you no,you are setting beside the road,Let it cool,take off again,sound familar?Check ya pump
