ECI fuse problems and more

Ok I just got a 93 dodge stealth es. Here's the
problem the guy I got it off of said that the reason
he parked it was because it kept blowing the ECI
fuse so instead of trying to figure out why it was
blowing the fuse. He just sticks a paper clip in the
fuse holder (stupid decision)  he said when he tried
to start it with the paper clip in. That smoke came
out of the SRS computer between the steats so.
Now idk what to do it doesn't blow the ECI fuse
anymore so I assume it fried something  cause I'm
pretty sure it's not getting fuel now neither and the
dash lights aren't working but he said they did
before he stuck the paper clip in it so where do you
guys think I should start. And what do you think
was causeig the ECI fuse to blow to begin with  I
really don't want to just start thowig parts at it but I
have no clue what the real probably is.

Get a schematic and find the short in that circuit.

Where could I find one I have the service manual but it doesn't have any schematics.

just google it.

I've tried that. But I can't find the right one. I've also found a green wire with a white stripe behind the radio that has melted the coating off I can't tell where it's supposed to go. It was just laying lose

start opening the harness.

Where at? Should I start opening it where the melted green wire is behind the radio. Or at the fuse box and trace down what all the ECI fuse goes to?

start where you found the bad spot and follow.

Ok. After Ive looked more closely in the fuse box. The fuse that says tail lights on it has been completely bypassed out of the fuse box and the green that was behind the radio is connected to the tail light fuse. So I guess that's probably got something to do with why the dash lights prk and tail lights aren't working

With it being by passed like that do you think that's could had something to do with why the ECI fuse kept blowing to begin with?

diffidently not supposed to be wired that way. put everything back to normal and see what happens.

Ok. I fixed where he had the tail light fuse bypassed and put a fuse back in it still no dash prk or tail lights. still won't start and it's not blowing the eci fuse like he Said it was to begin with i would think when he stuck that paper clip in the eci fuse and bypassed it he had to have fried something just don't know what all that fuse goes to

could of damaged the relay or switch. check relay first.
