xj40 4.0 turns over but won't start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, drove her and she was running fine, turned her off and did a power steering fluid check and it over flowed, running down the inside guard, decreased and hosed down the area, wetting ignition amplifier, coil and all other plugs and wiring in and around that area, looked online and everyone was suggesting that it was the crank sensor, so I replaced it but still won't start, the rev counter and the Speedo move slightly while cranking, have sprayed and cleaned all connections, coil, dissy cap and leads, while cleaning the ignition amplifier ( removed from car) noticed that it had grease inside, did remove some during cleaning, ok, question is do you think that it won't start because the amplifier has failed, Ta, oh I have fuel at the fuel rail that feeds the injectors but haven't checked to see if I have pressure, everything was ok before I cleaned it??? Any help will be great, thanks.
Steve
