Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Brand new 2013 Sentra - 25k miles, it makes a LOUD noise while driving, so I took it into
the Nissan shop and they said I need to rotate my tires, or buy new tires.  I rotated the
tires and the loud noise still exists.  The tires are still in good condition.  Does anyone
know if I really need to go out and purchase new tires to stop the noise??   Thanks in
advance.

What kind of noise is this? If they reccomend new tires I am assuming this isnt an engine related noise?

I first thought it was coming from the engine, like a muffler problem, but when the mechanic called me he said it was from the tires not being rotated....

I use to work on car and I never had the tires can make a loud noise. I know one think 2013 Nissan Sentra with CVT transmission are junks. I have one and before it broke it made a lot of noise when drive and shakes my suggestion is get rid of the car if you can because what would they will try to do is string you along until it reaches out of warranty and tell you that transmission is bad the CVT and whack you for a new transmission for $4,000 right now I'm doing a campaign to tell everyone this particular model to be prepared to spend the money or get rid of the car there is a class action lawsuit for defective products I have joined. My aunt in law had the same kind of car 2014 23000 miles and it started to make noise and I told her to get rid of it because you are going to open a can of worms you going to fix one problem and it never going to go away.

I have a 2013 Nissan sentra st and after 40,000 miles my transmission went and it never made any noise....If you hear the noise coming from the front passengers tire and it's a popping, cracking noise when you say pull away from a parking spot and are going 0-30pm and it goes away then it's definitely your CV JOINT and I suggest you do not drive it only drive to GET it fixed. If your CV JOINT goes completely you will not have control of your tires and they will go where ever they want.So use your imagination on what could happen...I hope this helps you or anyone else...I speak from experience cause my CV joints have to be replaced right now

I just had a CVT replaced by Nissan under warranty. The new one shudders for a bit at a red light but so far so good. I'll give it a year. Shame, Nissan cars are the more stylish of the bunch.
