Shock interchability between Acura TL or TLX

Asked by LaLa Feb 22, 2021 at 01:31 AM about the 2012 Honda Crosstour EX V6

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 2012 honda crosstour and they
don't make shorter shocks for it. So I've
been researching and finding that other
Crosstour owners have lowered their
suspensions using Acura TL parts and that
they are interchangeable. Im not 100%
convinced as nobody has answered my
questions. I need my already lowered car to
have shorter shocks. PLEASE ANYONE WHI
KNOW WHAT YEAR ACURA TL IS
INTERCHANGEABLE WITH MINE. I THANK U
IN. ADVANCE

Apparently a 12 TL with the 3.5 has the same part numbers for rear shocks. The part numbers are very close for the front, KYB 340065 is a crosstour front left strut. The TL is KYB 340055 front left strut. I can't find the heights but you could likely find the struts/shocks at a parts store and you could compare. This also means you should be able to slap some TL coilovers on if they are available.

Shock or struts don't set the height of the vehicle, it is the springs.
