Asked by SJC64 May 13, 2019 at 12:23 PM about the 2013 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCab

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2013 F-150 Lariat with 5.0 i can drive it for about 10 minutes and
then the fan kicks on and is extremely loud and stays on until the truck is
turned off. This happens with the heat or A/C on . Any idea what the problem
is?

if its hot out..sometimes the fan/fans wont turn off.the ac will kick in the fan also..how noisy it is is unknown

I had the same issue on my 14 f150 5.0. went and got my cooling system serviced… Problem solved

I have the same year make and model truck. Mine was leaking at what's called the coolant y or coolant hose y. I have changed it three times now. Being a pain for sure. Also been told get the motorcraft brand thermostat only. That is my next move.
