where is heater diverter valve on 89 bronco II

keep losing coolant from reservoir 1st then radiator, can't find a leak new water pump, no water in oil, no white smoke. If not diverter valve how can I tell if heater core is bad(have no water inside car or coming from line on firewall.

If you don't have a visible leak, you may have a head gasket issue. If engine compression gets into the cooling system it can blow water out the overflow. Take the radiator cap off when the engine is cool and start it. Let the engine warm up and watch for bubbles in the coolant.
If you have the work done it will be fairly expensive, possibly up to $2,000 but it should be less. Just get a few quotes from reputable shops. The cost will also depend on whether your heads are warped or need rebuilding.

OK thanks a lot but body is worn out I've kept her going for 2 trips to Ca. one to Md. I think it's time to let her go, she has served me well. Thanks.
