Pulling motor and transmission together

Asked by Jaymz21 Jun 09, 2017 at 07:45 PM about the 1988 Ford Bronco II STD 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Motor is shot on my 88 bronco 2 and we have no
clue if the transmission(automatic) is any good so
I was wondering if itd be easier to remove both at
the same time and if so how? I have a shop i would
bring the tranny to once I'd get it out. Motor is
basically stripped besides the fuel lines, my
biggest thing that I'm unsure of(other then pulling
it all together) is how to remove the shifter,
unplugging the harness from the transmission and
removing it from the transfer case. Thanks in
advance!

Okay Thank you and do you know how to remove the shifter, and unplug the wire to the transmission? And disconnecting from the transfer case?
