I put a new ignition still wont start or come out of park.

There is a dog leg/actuator between the key switch and ignition switch made out of pop metal. These break and the steering wheel has to come off,turn signal switch and tilt to get to it and the gears inside have to be timed to start right too. You may be better off to just replace the steering column from a junk yard.

i have a 1985 bronco ii and when i start it it makes a grinding noise just when i go to start it. when it runs it is fine. We pulled the starter and checked the flywheel and you can see where it is nicked but im not missing any teeth. the starter had shavings in it. Replaced the starter once it was fine for the first couple starts then sttarted grinding again. any sugjestions? 3 Answers

My 1987 ford bronco 2 is having problems running while cold. especially if I drive for a few minutes and then shut it off. So when we start the bronco in the morning it starts up just fine, but then it takes nearly a minute before it'll shift into reverse, and even longer to shift into drive. like, you put it in reverse...
