'88 300zx--How many springs in the clutch pedal assembly from the firewall inward?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I ask because my Haynes manual ('84-'89) page 192 item 12 'Clutch pedal Removal, Installation and Adjustment....' Line 6  says "Disengage and remove the RETURN SPRING and the ASSIST RETURN SPRING".
I can only see one spring (the split looking one) in the whole assembly.
Am I missing one---and if so, where does it connect?

(See my other question re: 'Clutch pedal does not return unless I pull it up with my toe' (sic))

Does anyone have a decent picture of an complete intact clutch pedal assembly (or exploded view) I can refer to (not the Courtesy Parts page please--although I am sure they are a fine company---cuz it only shows the 'assist' spring 46571)

Thanks in advance.

Turns out there is only one spring....but the pedal needs a solid 'push' from the clutch push rod (from the master cylinder) before it will engage the spring and return the pedal to full top.
