2013 Subaru Impreza suddenly has multiple warning lights on

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2013 Subaru Impreza Suddenly has the vehicle control dynamics, the
ABS, and the hillside assist lights on.  I can’t get an appointment to have it
looked at for a while, any ideas on what it could be?

I had this happen and it was the brake lamp. See if you have any brake lights when you hit the pedal.

If those ar the only warning lights on then it could be as shuttsn said, brake light bulb out or the a bad brake switch (at the brake pedal). If you have these series of warning lights on ( Traction control, ABS, Cruise, Oil at Temp and Check Engine ) then it is the Valve body module in the Transmission.

Check with your dealer--could be a faulty solenoid. There is a known problem with them so the fix is covered.

...and if it is a faulty solenoid, it is safe to drive.

This is part of the solenoid pack on the CVT transmission. There are 6 solenoids in the pack and Subaru will replace the entire module under warranty up to 100,000 miles. The car will be drivable, but performance is sluggish as the CVT will not "downshift" properly. The dealer should provide you with a loaner car; it takes a few days to complete the repair and re- calibrate the ECU.
