Computer Failure of TOYOTA COROLLA due to Lightning Strike?

I have a TOYOTA COROLLA 2013, 24000 miles. I bought it new 3 years
ago. This Saturday I had a service appointment with my local Toyota
dealership. They passed my inspection at 4:00 pm and went back home.
Around 8:00 pm when I wanted to start my car I saw all the alarm lights
went on solid. My steer-wheel became hard to rotate. A/C didn't work. So I
called them and arranged another appointment on Monday afternoon. I
doubt if they did something wrong on my car. They checked the car and
claim it is lightning strike failed the main computer. Because of that they
say I cannot use warranty. It costs almost 3000$ which made me really
disappointed. I have honestly lost my trust and do not think it is a problem.
I NEED YOUR ADVICE. Is it possible lightning does such failure on main
computer of my car? Isn't it protected for such incidents? It is wired for me.

Lightning strikes can leave cars undamaged or fry all the electronics and everything in between. I wonder why they say it was lightning? How would they know?

hahahahahaha- that's the lamest excuse I've ever heard! what's next? Sunspots? Aliens? Zombies?

Thanks guys. I am really pissed off. It is a very poor quality maintenance they are offering. I haven't even given any proof for this lightning.
