2013 Corolla S with 25,000 mi has burnt tranny fluid - drain/flush? Causes?

I have a 2013 Toyota Corolla S with 25,000 miles The tranny fluid is deep brown. Dealer initially denied flushing tranny and wanted to charge me $350.00 if performed!! Another tech called out the warranty and scheduled a "look-see" apt for tomorrow. What greater problems could there be beyond the discolored fluid? Thank you for your input.

Something is wrong internally to cause the fluid to be anything but a nice red color. And it's a 'lifetime' fluid that Toyota says never needs to be changed.... although I did a drain-and-fill at 60,000 miles - just because now I know it will never need to be done again for another 60,000 -if ever. You have a 5 year/60,000 drive train warranty and a flush is NOT the solution. Do NOT PAY the dealer a dime! If the dealer does not fix it to your satisfaction call 1.800.331.4331 which is Toyota of North America and thell them your situation. They are very cooperative, they want customer satisfaction.
