Remote Function Actuator Module Trouble Shooting

Asked by Bhavik Dec 10, 2023 at 03:33 PM about the 2013 Ford Focus Titanium

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello, I have 2013 Ford Focus & my key fob remote is not working, I am able
to start my car with push start button by inserting my key fob into key socket
behind the steering wheel though. I have visited multiple locksmiths &
electrician as of now & came to a conclusion that remote is working fine, but
the issue is with RFA module with OBD code "U0214:OO-2C : Lost
Communication With Remote Function Actuation Module". what's the best &
cheapest solution, as I am full time student, to start my key fob working again
to lock & unlock my car remotely?

Causes of this code are, Faulty Remote Function Actuation, Remote Function Actuation harness is open or shorted, and/or Remote Function Actuation circuit poor electrical connection. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector pins.
