Where is the fuel filter located for a 2000 stratus

Probably in one of two locations. Its located either inside the fuel tank or in between the fuel and the engine. Most likely inside the tank. If not, follow the hose from the fuel tank towards the engine and you should come across the housing for the fuel filter.

I am a single woman trying to change the fuel filter on my 2000 Dodge Stratus. Is this possible? I don't know jack about cars. If so, can you provide a few more tips. My gas tank is full and I know that's a problem. Please help!

Its inside the tank. You need to drop the tank to gain access. There is no access from inside under the back seat (like the Sebrings of the same years have). For more info on this and other questions, go to www.stratusphere.net.
