Liftgate won't latch 2013 Grand Caravan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After replacing a broken rear window, the liftgate tries to close (it tries to latch 2
times) then unlatches and stops. It looks like the it does latch but does not
sense it properly. What do I do?

I would first look for obstructions. Maybe the weather stripping is out of place.

I checked and did not see any. If I push on the door it latches. But as soon as I release pressure it unlatches again.

Did you ever get a solution for this? I have almost the exact same issue - but it started acting up as soon as the window was broken, so I know it had nothing to do with the installation of the new window.

Safellite came out and found obstruction by small pieces of glass. Also adjusted the latch.

I'll see if I can adjust the latch with any success first. Otherwise I'll just take all the paneling off again and see if I can find any left over glass. Thanks!
